Anahata: The Heart Chakra
Location
Found at the level of the heart but in the centre of the body, this chakra deals with expressions of love, faith and devotion. Located at the centre of the seven chakras, the anahata or heart chakra is the connection between the lower and higher chakras. This is the place where true unity occurs and a removal of duality is truely understood.
Properties
The quality of this chakra is air, compare this with where the lungs are situated and the exchange of air occurs in this physical location. Lack of an activity in this chakra, can cause heart problems and lack of compassion. Over activity can be the reason for over emotional and dependent people. The physical sense of touch is also a property of this chakra.
Visual Representation
The main colour focus at this level is green and pink. A smoky-green surrounded by 12 Red Petals. The Deer is the animal linkage in this chakra. The qualities of the deer such as dreamy eyes, graceful and pre-occupied demeanor, as that of one in love is the connecting factor.
