The Laws of Karma

OK a biggy here, karma is often mis-quoted in the western world as either something which is good or bad and is linked to a judgemental God. It is considered to be a law of punishment or reward. Sorry to burst the bubble but nothing is further from the truth.

Karma is the highest and most logical law of universal justice.

'What goes around comes around' personified.

  • There is no judgement.
  • There is no good or bad, in the eyes of this law.
  • There are just facts.
  • There are just actions and reactions.

You reap what you sow, is a common expression which sums up karma wonderfully. The actual action of sowing has no judgemental take, after all it is simply an action, consequental to this action is the reaction of reaping. Again no judgement can be placed here as it is simply a response to what has occured earlier.

So what exactly is karma?

To really understand karma you need to be very clear that everything in your life originates from thought. Your thoughts are of a fine and subtle vibration. Once you attach an emotion to that thought such as desire, want, fear you bring that thought into your physical world and it shows as an physical, mental or emotional effect. This effect can remain with you for years and under the right circumstances will manifest for you. So your action is thinking about your ideal soul mate, this begins when you are 16, at age 22, the right set of circumstances occur and the reaction is that you meet the girl of your dreams. Now some of these powerful thought patterns are stored for years, in fact for many life-times as not all of the karma is presented with circumstances which allow them to flourish.

QUESTION: Where are they stored???

ANSWER: The all important CHAKRAS...hopefully you can now put a picture together and see how important it is to empower and balance those chakras.

Emotions

Emotions play a huge role in the effects of karma. We attach emotions to actions and reactions. This is a very important statement so I shall say it again, WE ATTACH EMOTIONS (ENERGY IN MOTION) TO ACTIONS AND REACTIONS.

Emotions are food for karma. Any attachments of emotions to situations in our lives increase karma. Hence the Buddhist and Hindu belief that non-attachment is vital for spiritual progress.

But lets leave spiritual progress aside for the moment, any excessive attachment is detrimental to your mental, physical and emotional development.
