Seven Chakras

In order to appreciate the function and use of chakras, I do not feel that is necessary to know every single detail about the chakras, as this makes the chakras a study rather than an innate understanding. It is like knowing where the main buttons and switches are in your car, but not actually needing to know how the inside of the engine works in order to look after the car and get the best drive out of it. Yes you should have a basic knowledge and if you are new to the spiritual world this will definately provide a through grounding. However, even if you read throught the pages in this site you will do fine too.
